It’s a powerful way to master your mind, cultivate inner peace, and boost your focus and concentration. All these qualities are beneficial in sports. Pratyahara is considered important in yoga because it forms a bridge between the external focus of previous limbs of yoga (Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama) and the internal focus of the subsequent limbs, which move the practitioner into concentration.
