Why mindset matters

 

Arjun, a thirteen-year-old tennis player had won a lot of tournaments in his initial competitive years. But the circumstances changed since the last six months with him giving consistent poor performances. Before a match, he tends to boast about his skills and talent. However, in the match he gets frustrated over mistakes and starts giving up when it gets tough. After every loss, he leaves the court fuming over something that went wrong in the match and doesn’t accept loss. Blaming the court conditions or holding others responsible for his loss are some of the common excuses. As for him, a talented player should easily win without putting much effort.
