‘Hello Ashish, the race is over now’ whispered one of the crew members in Ashish’s ear. The feeling was to yet to sink in for Ashish Kasodekar, but slowly he came with terms of his magnanimous achievement. History was created and Ashish became the first Indian to complete ‘La Ultra – The High’ a 555km marathon in Ladakh
Running Spree
A small beginning leads to great achievements they say and it fits Ashish to the core. A basketball player during his college days having played at University and National levels, Ashish ventured into marathons by doing 15kms runs. Eventually promoting himself to greater adventure races like Enduro3, Mumbai Marathon and later stepping on the international platform by participating in Comrades Marathon held in South Africa in 2016.
