What is the current standard of hockey in our country?
During the last 8 – 10 years, the standard of our game has much developed. Our players are capable of defeating World and Olympic champions and hockey stalwarts like Australia, Holland, Germany, and Belgium. Thanks to the increased number of various international tournaments. With the introduction of the World League, our players are getting good exposure with foreign players as well as experience of playing in foreign conditions. This has boosted the confidence level of our players. They are not afraid to face foreign players and are also very well aware of the tactics used by them.
