‘The gym industry will grow at a faster rate in the near future’

Abhimanyu Sable who is founder MD and CEO of ABS Fitness & Wellness Club has been in the field of fitness for the last 30 years and trained more than one lac, people, through his clubs. He believes that post-COVID-19, the gym industry will grow as the people have understood the importance of fitness and exercise. In an interview with Sports Champ, the founder president of United Health & Fitness Forum speaks about the challenges and prospects of the Indian fitness industry.

What is the current scenario of the Indian fitness industry?
The Indian fitness industry is not like one large entity and it’s very fragmented with no large player dominating the market. There are several players in this field, right from global international fitness chains, some large players and small entrepreneurs who are passionately driven and have their small fitness centres. Of course, there is an apex body – United Health Fitness Federation, which is trying to get everyone under one umbrella and become one voice of the fitness industry.
