HOW TO KEEP BALANCE BETWEEN SPORTS AND STUDIES ?
Share
Childhood is a sweet spot in one’s life they say, where children can try their hands on a different things, sports, art, craft and alot of things without worrying too much about anything. But as time passes and kids get burdened with several subjects and have dedicated hours to school and lectures, managing things becomes very difficult. Gradually, children loose out one of the activities and for many, sports becomes the first activity that gets off the everyday to-do list!
However, it is not necessary to focus on only studies, as sports has intangible benefits to every individual. One does not need to lean towards any one thing, because every student can manage and balance the see-saw of healthy life and studies. Here are some ways which will make it easy for you to balance the sports within your studies.
⇾Expose to multiple Sports: To identify right sport for yourself it is very important to get exposed to multiple sports, firstly to know more about multiple sport and also to understand whether your mind and body is fit for that particular sport or not. Many time parents send their kid to play sport which is near to their house not which is right for the kid considering his/her body and mind because of which many talent goes waste. If you want to pursue sport for a longer period of time and wish to excel then find the right sport.
⇾Time management: The struggle to manage time everyday is real when students have to run errands. In such situations, time management is the key. A well chalked out day and sticking to the timings is imperative for including sports in our daily routines. An hour can be managed everyday if properly timed and other trivial things that one indulges in everyday like watching television and playing video games. If you succeed in sticking yourself with the schedule that definitely needs a reward which will motivate you the next time to plan and prioritize.
⇾Do not procrastinate: If your schedule is all set with everything included from sports to studies and even entertainment, then life will become a beautiful day every-day. But delaying any one of the activities will disturb the whole schedule and drag you away from sports.
⇾Get professional help: Playing in the park for leisure everyday is far more different than having a professional guidance in sports. Getting attached to a sport and getting coached in the same brings seriousness and commitment. Having commitments towards the game makes the sport not only a part of the day, but also a part of life.
⇾Utilize the weekends and vacations: Utilising the holidays including the weekly offs and the vacations is a great way to get extra time in training in sports. Children can learn more about sport, get trained intensely, have longer practise sessions on holidays. This way any loss in sports time due to the academic commitments can be made up for.
⇾Remember your purpose: A consistent and constant motivation comes from regular indulgence in sports. If children are aware of what sports is going to lead to them, the urge to play everyday comes naturally. Having people around who value sports, getting updated with the international sports, reading sports magazines, learning about the sports legends- all makes a great impact on the mindset of children. motivates them and they are able to strike a fine balance between sports and studies.
