Bhavnagar is considered as the cradle of basketball in Gujarat, thanks to Jayantibhai, Jayram Desai and KB Desai, the founders of the Gujarat State Basketball Association who started their work from the city. With 33 districts affiliated to the association, the governing body is giving their best to improve the state’s performance at the national level.
