Pritish Kokate, a hoopster from Pune is one of eight players selected in 2018 to be a student-athlete at the NBA Academy India and later he represented the academy in third NBA Academy Games in Atlanta.

Pritish hails from a non-sporting family, as his father Jitesh is employed with a private limited manufacturing company in Pune while mother Samidha was a software testing trainer in a private institute before sacrificing her job to look after Pritish’s career on a full-time basis.
