A hobby turned into a passion for Bangalore rider Aishwarya and she becomes first Indian to grab six national titles and a World Championship. The rider speaks about her journey in a career where women aren’t encouraged
Why did you choose this adventure sport as a career?
I was passionate about bike riding and I used to ride to different places near my home town, Bangalore along with my friends. Seeing my passion for riding, one of my friends suggested that I should participate in the motorcycle rally championship. Giving this suggestion a serious thought, I participated in the local rallies just for fun. After achieving success in these competitions, I decided to make my career in motorcycle racing. So, in 2016 I joined Apex Academy. There I got to learn the finer intricacies of the sport and I thoroughly enjoyed this learning process.
