‘Try to be different than others’
Young Intellectual Club (YIC), a social club for Children recently organised a talk show with two times senior national table tennis champion and Arjuna Awardee Anthony Amalraj. He spoke about his life and his journey to becoming a champion in this show, hosted by YIC president Anandita Lunawat
On setting goals
You need to know what you are doing and what you want to be. Generally, life should not be in just one direction and following others. You must be different from everyone and make yourself special so one day the society will appreciate you and your parents will feel pride. Getting a good college and a good job is fine but how you see yourself different from others is very important. For examples, Sachin Tendulkar could have been an ordinary if he had followed the routine, but he found what was different and special in him. It’s not only about sports. Our former president APJ Abdul Kalam was way different from others and he explored his different path and made an everlasting impression on the society.
