The late president of the Sardar Dastur Schools’ Trust Sardar Dastur Hormazdiar Nosherwan Kaikobad Dastur, who was an eminent educational baron running three schools was a keen sportsman and also had held the Western Indian Badminton Champion title. Right from the year 1949, he had encouraged sports. He had been the initiator, philosopher and guide who motivated the girl child in different sports activities. He had always inspired the students to be active in physical activities, besides academics. After his demise in the year 2003, his successors followed the same philosophy, in sportsschools across Europe, including Croatia, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Belgium, and Portugal. His students have earned success at the international level like Leon Rattigan who won a bronze medal (96 kg) in Commonwealth Games 2010.
