The Jude Felix Hockey Academy
The Jude Felix Hockey Academy, a non-profit organisation started in 2009, has partnered with St Mary’s orphanage to provide professional training to underprivileged children. The academy comprises Olympians, former international and national players who try to make a difference in the lives of these children through a medium which they are best at – the game of Hockey By Bhushan Barve
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam once had said, “Great dreams of great dreamers are always transcended”. The story of Jude Felix Hockey Academy (JFHA) has all the elements wrapped in it. It had a great dreamer in Jude Felix and a great dream of introducing the pleasure of sports to the unfortunate ones. JFHA comes as a beacon of hope to hundreds of souls at the St. Mary’s orphanage. Not just an academy, but a flight of fancy transcending the borders of humanity, serving as a gateway for these underprivileged children to earn respect, pride and name for them in the supposedly ‘privileged world’.
