Set your fitness goals
We often use the words fit or fitness in a very conversational way – for example, “so-and-so is very fit” or “I wish I could improve my fitness” and so on.
But what do the words fit or fitness really mean? Is it simply being in good health, having a great body, being good at sports, or is there something more to it? For different people, fitness can mean very different things. For one person that might mean having a six-pack abdomen, for another being able to run a marathon, and for yet another person it could be the desire to stay away from or combat any long-term disease. Seen this way, fitness is a very individualistic concept and no single definition is possible. However, whatever your fitness goals are, there are some things that need to be followed to achieve them.
