In an exclusive interview with Sports Champ, he feels that we need cumulative efforts to induce sports culture in India. Excerpts:

What is your take on the current scenario of Indian sports manufacturing industry?
As of now, the Indian manufacturing industry is minuscule. Our global presence is very limited and the overall export is less than one per cent whereas China has 85 per cent. India is quite good at exporting footballs but it’s very less volume compared to Pakistan. India is currently exporting 10 thousand footballs while Pakistan’s export is around one million footballs. We have a decent share in the cricket-related market, but cricket is not a world-wide sport and is not played in many countries.
