A transition from amateur to professional sport is the key challenge

India’s only individual gold medallist Abhinav Bindra is one of the top influencers of ‘Sport Policy’ in the country. Through his foundation, the ace shooter is working to integrate sport science and technology into Indian sport and encouraging High-Performance Physical Training. In an exclusive interview with Sports Champ, he speaks about the future of Indian sports. Excerpts:

What do you feel is the current scenario of Indian sports and what will be the future in the next 5-10 years?
I think it is encouraging to see the growth of participation in sport in the country. More-so-over, it is great to see the people coming out to support our athletes.
