The Bengaluru-based cueist has won more world titles in cue sport than anyone else in the World. The Golden Boy of India has a record of winning 23 World titles. In an interview with Sports Champ, the Arjuna awardee speaks about his glittering career and about the future of cue sports in India

The beginning

I was introduced to the game at the age of 10, by my elder brother Shree, who is a noted Sport & Performance Psychologist and he used to play snooker in a club near our home. So naturally being the younger brother, it piqued my interest as to what my elder brother was playing. I picked up my first cue at the age of 10 and potted my first shot.
